Employers value the skills that students acquire through studying history. All of our degree programmes enhance your abilities to analyse complex data and present clear and coherent arguments in essays, presentations and classroom discussions. The skills are readily transferable to most areas of work. The key difference with the Heritage and History degree is the emphasis on vocational skills and experience, and real work experience which will make you stand out in the job market.
This degree will prepare you for a career in the heritage and gallery sector. Many history graduates also go on to careers in business, public service, the arts and media, charities and social enterprise, teaching, social work, libraries and information management, and archives and museum work.
As a Hull graduate, you will continue to have access to the University Careers Service, which provides a wealth of advice and information on the world of work, as well as maintaining close links with local, regional, national and international graduate employers.
