Hearing how passionate the lecturers were about helping you achieve your potential, and doing the subjects that they love at the Open Day made me realise it was the place I wanted to do my degree.

BA (Hons), Drama

As one of the first British universities to offer a drama degree, we’ve played a huge part in developing the academic study of dramatic form.

We’ve continued to innovate our degrees and invest in providing facilities that you essentially take ownership of during your time here.

But, the real star of drama at Hull is our passionate, innovative, supportive staff. Our students think so too, which is why we ranked number one nationally for overall satisfaction in the 2017 National Student Survey.

Our programmes blend theory and practice, so you'll graduate as a thinking practitioner. Develop your talents in whichever direction suits you: performer, theatre manager, critic, writer, technician, lighting or sound designer, or costumier.

Our students benefit from close links with local and national theatre companies, venues, festivals, and our drama graduate network.
