WHY STUDY AT HULL?

The University is the birthplace of one of the most important innovations in modern times – liquid crystal displays. Today, our students are still inspired by pioneering thinking, state-of-the-art facilities and research-led teaching. In fact, you might be taught by members of the team who turned LCD into a reality.

usp1

The Royal Society of Chemistry accredit our degrees. This means that you can become a member of the society and then upgrade to Chartered Chemist status after appropriate career experience.

usp2

Be inspired by leaders in the field - from members of the team that gave the world LCD displays to researchers in drug synthesis, advanced materials and lab-on-a-chip miniaturised chemistry.

usp3

Modern facilities include synthesis laboratories, a state-of-the-art microscopy suite, NMR, microfluidic fabrication facilities and customised mass spectrometry facilities.

CAREERS

A chemistry degree really unlocks your career options. Industrial chemist, environmental scientist, researcher and teacher are just some of the roles which are open to you. Our graduates also progress into industries such as pharmaceuticals, computing and biotechnology.
