Easy access, wherever you are

By road

Sat nav postcode: HU6 7RU

We have plenty of free car parking available on campus for Open Day. If you enter from the Cottingham Road entrance - look for the iconic heads at the front of the Business School - you will be directed to the best car park.

Hull is easily accessible from the west on the M62 and from the north and south via the A1 – which is just 40 miles away. Major cities like Newcastle and Birmingham are just two and a half hours’ drive; Manchester is under two hours away; and Leeds and Sheffield can be reached in little more than an hour.

By rail

There are six direct services every day from central London, which take as little as two and a half hours.

We can also offer a special train ticket offer (open days only) for visitors travelling from London Kings Cross on a Hull Trains service. Tickets cost £55 for one person, or £90 for two people, and must be used on the specific trains chosen at the time of booking. Offer is not available for Friday 15.48 or 18.50 services. Available times on the Saturday are 09.48 northbound, and 15.30 or 18.36 return. They are non-refundable and can't be upgraded to first class. To book, email directly.

There’s also fast, direct access from the north of England and Scotland via northern rail services, while destinations to the west of Hull are also well connected. Nearby Doncaster is one of the UK’s main rail hubs, putting the whole country within easy reach.

When you arrive at Hull station, look for our university representatives in the red t-shirts, who can direct you to the free shuttle bus service to the University (open days only). This is available between 8.30am and 1pm, with a return shuttle running between 2.30pm and 4.45pm.

From overseas

If you’re from further afield, daily ferries connect Hull to the Netherlands and Belgium, while Humberside Airport connects you to the world via the hub at Schiphol Airport. Manchester, Leeds Bradford and Doncaster Sheffield airports are also easily accessible.
